Norfolk Southern Railroad Police on the scene at the Charlotte Amtrak station during the Democratic National Convention. This Unit was interesting, it was a K-9 unit and was radar equipped for speed enforcement at intermodal facilities according to the officer driving it. The unmarked SUVs behind it are also railroad police units, in town for the Democratic National Convention.

The Paron Tequila Express at Charlotte NC during Democratic National Convention

This was parked on a siding near the Amtrak station in Charlotte NC during the DNC. This siding is normally used for bulk hopper transfers. No one was around. Heres what I found about this on line. from bizbash.com WASHINGTON The Patron Tequila Express, a refurbished antique railcar, pulled into Washington’s Union Station June 8, the second stop on the five-city Epicurean Express tour. Owned by John Paul DeJoria, who also owns Patron Spirits Company, the 85-foot-long luxury railcar serves as the backdrop to the two-night food- and fund-raising-focused events, which support the St. Bernard Project, a nonprofit organization that helps rebuild homes, find jobs, and provide mental health support for people in New Orleans.
